From Version 4.3.0 Shiftable Family PPMs are introduced to enable greater functionality and flexibility with regards to shifting PPMs.
Certain Statutory PPMs need to be performed on a regular basis within a time frame e.g. the Task must be completed within 1 month of the previous Task being completed.
Therefore if a Task has been completed early one month then the PPM pattern would need to be altered to reflect this e.g. A PPM is due on the 15th of the month, it is actually completed and moved to history early, on the 13th of the month.
Due to the PPM being completed early the next schedule date should now be for the 13th of the following month.
In addition to this single PPM shift, Concept Evolution can shift all PPMs within the family to reflect the new Service Date/s with the use of the Controller function.
Note: FSI recommend that the Shiftable Family PPM function is used in instances of Concept Evolution on 4.3.0 and above. It is also recommended that Shiftable Calendar and Shiftable Family PPMs are not used in conjunction with each other on a single Asset as this may cause cross date and shift anomalies
If PPMs are set up as Shiftable Family PPMs, when the Task is moved to History will either automatically move the PPM schedule or ask the User if they would like to shift the PPM.
Note: For Concept Evolution to prompt a User to shift a PPM the check box "Prompt before rescheduling Shiftable PPMs" against the Contract must be ticked.
To create PPMs see Planned Preventative Maintenance - PPMs
To create a Shiftable Family PPM the PPM Class must be set to Shiftable Family PPM.
The Controller box is to be checked for Shiftable Family PPMs to distinguish the Controlling PPM alignment
Example:
If the monthly PPM is finished early it will not shift anything in the family as it is not a controller PPM.
If either the 3 monthly or Yearly PPM (these are Controller PPMs) are Finished early and the PPMs are shifted it will shift the schedules for all PPMs within the Family.
So the Monthly, 3 monthly and 1 Yearly will have their schedules shifted to remain aligned.
Note: Without the Controller box checked for at least one of the PPMs within the family, Shiftable Family PPMs will not work.
